"My New York Dream Bagels came true at Bagel Cafe. The menu is extensive and has soooo many good options whether you are a sweet, salty, or vegan preference. Bagel itself is so soft and the perfect chewy texture. There is a line outside the door and provided outdoor seating. All items are relatively affordable! Got the Zuma on an Herb and Cheese bagel and oh my was it good! Sat outside and could look through the window to see them making the sandwiches. Would definitely go back again and try everything!"

"I've seen a few low-star reviews... I've been a regular for a while. They are a busy place, especially on weekends. It's part of the charm.
Bagel Cafe is consistent and one of my favorite IV spots. Their bagels are always fresh after 9am, and their workers, even in rushes, go out of their way to make customers smile. I'm not sure of everyone's names (they don't wear name tags) but I know Tiffany and Shae have helped me decide what to order more than once.
If you want to support a small business and have yourself a bagel on par with authentic New York bagels, then this is the spot for you. I recommend "The Regular" and their melts. Yum!"-Hugh M.

"I'm from Connecticut, specifically the part next to New York. as you probably know, the bagels are really good there and what I miss most about the east. when I arrived at ucsb for my freshman year, I tried the bagels at dlg and they were not good. I this became resigned to the fact that I would only eat bagels at home. my sophomore year, I discovered bagel cafe. it took awhile for me to try it since I was skeptical. let me tell you that it does not disappoint. they have the best bagels in California outside of San Francisco. my favorite is a poppy seed bagel with lox cream cheese."

"Bagel Cafe is an Isla Vista classic that never disappoints! I have been. couple times and am surprised that I have yet to leave a review! I try something different each time I go, but I would have to say one of my go-to orders is a toasted garlic bagel with chipotle smear! SO GOOD! Service is super quick and the people working are always so helpful.
The Emma and a classic BLT of pesto bagel always hit the spot too. A chill, laid back spot to hit the get your day started or for an afternoon pick me up!
